Exploring the Museum of the Person from the
Perspective of the Information Disciplines

As the highly innovative and important work of the Museum of the Person
moves into the international web network, it confronts a number of challenges.
Drawing examples from principles and lessons from funding public goods,
the development of library, archives and museum practices, social and
widely-varying legal constraints, and technical enablers and limitations,
the author suggests how the Museum might meet this daunting array of issues.
She will also propose an holistic digital collective model that extends
and integrates traditional institutions of memory to include sharing amongst
