Maurita Holland

Maurita Peterson Holland is an Associate Professor and Assistant to the Dean of the University of Michigan School of Information. She is the Director of the Office of Academic Outreach, which includes distance-learning programmes. She has also mentors off-campus projects for students. Her teaching methodology and research makes full use of information technology, especially the Internet. Nicolau Sevcenko teaches Cultural History at The University of Sao Paulo (USP) and is a member of The Centre for Latin American Cultural Studies at King's College (University of London). Paul Thompson

Professor Paul Thompson from Essex University in the UK has been researching Oral History for more than 20 years. He has lectured in China, Russia, Mexico, Japan, USA and throughout Europe. He is a central figure in the European Oral History Movement. Paul Thompson is the founder and director of the British Library's National Life Story Collection and is a regular consultant expert for the BBC. He founded and directed The Oral History Society and The Oral History Journal. He has worked on a number of Oral History projects and written around 20 books on the subject, including 'The Voice of the Past' which has been translated into more than 10 languages - England.

Thom Gillespie is the Director of the Masters degree in Immersive Mediated Environments (MIME) at the telecommunication department of the University of Indiana. His MIME programme has a multi-disciplinary approach, which makes use of talent ranging across a variety of University departments from rts, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Music, Business, Theatre, Journalism and Folklore.
