The Museu da Pessoa.net Institute was idealized to constitute a virtual net of life stories, which any person can be part. Its mission is to preserve, integrate and transform in historical information the life story of all and any person from the society, in a space for knowledge and communication among the people and cultures of the world.
That's a way of rethinking our history and, consequently, transforming our present and future. Besides enabling a more democratic view of history the records allow the comprehension of the values and expectations of the people in communities that do not usually have a "voice" in our society.
The Museu da Pessoa.Net Institute was founded in 2001 to increase social impact, disseminate and democratize the collection and methodology of Museu da Pessoa, recognize by Ashoka Empreendedores Sociais-a non-profit association that identifies innovative initiatives and promotes the profession of the social entrepreneur throughout the world.
